RTK + DEAD RECKONING

TAU951M-K2 GNSS Module

TAU951M-K2 is a GNSS dual-band high-precision RTK navigation and positioning module with dead reckoning, based on the CYNOSURE IV dual-core SoC (22 nm). By combining GNSS positioning with inertial navigation technology and a built-in 6-axis IMU, it outputs continuous positioning data even where GNSS signal quality is poor or lost — such as tunnels and underground parking — providing reliable positioning for smart driving, surveying and mapping, UAVs and intelligent agriculture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about TAU951M-K2 functionality and typical use cases.

Dead reckoning (DR) uses inertial sensors to compute position when GNSS signals are blocked. TAU951M-K2 integrates a 6-axis IMU so devices keep outputting position in tunnels, underground parking and urban canyons.

The INS positioning error is below 2% of the distance travelled, which keeps position output usable through typical tunnels and short outages.

Yes. IMU raw data is available at up to 50 Hz, allowing customers to run their own sensor-fusion algorithms if needed.

Yes. It shares the same 24-pin LCC package (16.0 × 12.2 × 2.4 mm) and interfaces, so designs can migrate between P2 (RTK) and K2 (RTK+DR) easily.
